Membership
We receive into membership those who come by profession of faith and transfer from Baptist churches. We also encourage Open Membership, which is open to all those who have repented of their sins and have received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord.
We lay strong emphasis on believer's baptism and receive into fellowship those who have been baptised as believers.
Although we accept Open Membership — whereby we receive people who may have been baptised as infants and come into faith in Jesus Christ without believer's baptism — we continue to teach and encourage such people to be immersed in believer's baptism.
Responsibility of membership
- To live a life consistent with the gospel and worthy of his or her high calling in Christ
- To spend some time every day in prayer and reading the Scriptures
- To share every Sunday in the corporate worship of the Church, unless unavoidably prevented
- To set aside a realistic proportion of income for the work of God carried on and through the Church
Membership commitment
- To share the Good News with others
- To attend house group meetings and to help with the cleaning of the Church
- To support the work of the Church morally and financially
- To support financially through weekly giving by envelopes and pledge giving
- We encourage every member to tithe and to sign the Gift Aid forms
